Next year, Sam Wanamaker 's replica of the Globe will open in a new educational and recreational complex across the Thames from St Paul 's Cathedral. Tom Morris investigates the meticulous authenticity of the reconstruction - oak timbers, lime plaster and the first thatched roof in London since the Great Fire.
