Mr. A. J. Detheridge
Greyhound racing is emphatically the sport of the moment, and all over the country courses are springing up and crowds are filling them. Mr. Detheridge has been prominent in many forms of sport. Thirty years ago he was one of the fastest racing cyclists in the world; he has played football for Hereford City, and is a recognized cross-country rider, shot, and expert on fish culture. He has long been a follower of coursing, a licensed judge under the National Coursing Club, and a breeder and trainer of greyhounds. He has now turned his attention to the new sport of greyhound racing, and has already successfully opened the Birmingham and Sheffield tracks.
