' The School Leaving Age'
A round-table discussion between
Margaret Bondfield , Arthur Har vey, Leslie Lancaster , and George Butler
In the Chair, Hugh Chance
This broadcast will have particularly topical value, since the school leaving age provisions of the Education Act (1936) come into force this year, and employer, educationist, and parent find themselves faced with a new position. In the studio this evening there will be employers both for and against the extra school year, as well as educationists and parents who will contribute to a controversy that cannot fail to interest all who have youngsters. Of the five speakers, only Miss Bondfield has taken part in a ' Midland Parliament ' discussion before.
