Recently widowed, Dr Charley Nicholas is determined to make up for 31 years of marital fidelity by living the life of a latter-day Casanova. His plans, however, are drastically upset when he embarks on a relationship with divorcee Ann Atkinson who, now that she is rid of her philandering husband, is not prepared to share Charley with other women.
