Earl Mountbatten of Burma

On Foreign Office Green this morning. HM The Queen unveils a statue raised by public subscription to the late Earl Mountbatten of Burma.
Her Majesty The Queen is accompanied by HRH The Duke of Edinburgh and other members of the Royal Family.
Present at the unveiling are many visiting members of foreign royal families, the Countess Mountbatten and members of the Mountbatten family, the Prime
Minister, representatives from both Houses of Parliament and members from several organisations, Including the Burma Star Association and the HMS Kelly Reunion Association. There is also a presentation of a book of donors to the Countess Mountbatten.
