The Story of the Silver Skates

In December the annual ice-skating race takes place, an event looked forward to by all the young people, not least by Hans who wants to win the coveted prize-a pair of silver skates.
This lavishly staged musical film, set in Holland in the middle of the last century, tells the story of the poor Brinker family and young Hans who is trying to raise money to help his ailing father.
