Morning Performance: Film Music Week: 5: America 2

on BBC Radio 3

Tommy Pearson presents a week of music from the movies. In today's programme he introduces some of the scores written by three of the greatest film American composers of the last 50 years: Bernard Herrmann, Danny Elfman and John Williams. Eric Stern conducts the BBC National Orchestra of Wales in performances of Herrmann's score for Francois Truffaut's futuristic Fahrenheit 451; Danny Elfman's dark Batman music and John William's exhilarating music from the original Star Wars film.
