The Lost Paradise
A profile of Roberto Burle Marx, landscape architect, distinguished amateur botanist and one of Rio de Janeiro's most famous artists. His use of local
South American plants in the design and layout of open spaces is a creative attempt to reconcile two of Brazil's major problems: to help conserve the rich tropical plantlife and to bring places of recreation to the densely populated cities.
