Composer of the Week:Heinrich Ignaz Franz von Biber

Biber was the dominant musical figure in Salzburg in the last 30 years of the 17th century. The leading violin virtuoso of his day, he was also a prolific composer of instrumental and church music, with a penchant both for using enormous forces and for breaking the rules.
