Excerpts from a conversation between R. Buckminster Fuller and Reyner Banham.
Lightweight domes designed by Buckminster Fuller, the American inventor, have been erected all over the world in the last few years as exhibition pavilions, concert halls, factories, shelters against Arctic conditions, and teaching projects in universities.
In this recording, made in London in June, Mr. Fuller speaks about the structural principles of his domes and about ways in which they might be used to transform parts of our environment.
