The starting point for this new six-part drama was writer Paula Milne's fascination with surveillance techniques. She researched her subject by joining a private detective on the chase. "It's the most incredible adrenaline charge following someone. You're living off your wits - you don't know what's going to happen next."
With divorce becoming a growth industry, the idea of two women pairing up to run their own private detective agency investigating infidelity seemed a natural one. Says Milne: "Detectives tell me that 99 per cent of people who suspect their partners, are right about them being unfaithful."
In "Odd Job", sisters-in-law Dee Tate and Elly Chandler take on their first case. Both have very different reasons for getting involved.
