1/3 One of the most violent cities in the world, Johannesburg is home to a renowned hospital trauma unit. This fly-on-the-wall series follows staff as they cope with an endless stream of casualties.

In the first instalment junior doctor Ricardo Hamilton battles to save two stabbing victims and a baby, while veteran paramedic Louis Phampe reflects on the impact of his own work. Kwame Kwei-Armah narrates.
