This Band was first started as the Temperance Band, but after a few years the workmen interested themselves in it and the Band was given its present name.

David R. Jones is well known as an adjudicator at Eisteddfodau. He is a member by examination of the Gorsedd Circle under the Bardic title of 'Llew Llanfair'
