A picture of life in a country that has not been at war for over a hundred years: scenes from Stockholm; the story of a thousand-mile journey with a recording car through industrial towns, forests and farmland; and a trip by air ambulance over the mountains of Norrland. Story told by Marjorie Banks, who set out on the trip in September and made recordings of scenes from Swedish life with the help of two Swedish radio engineers.
