When British engineer Tom Proby arrives in Sicily to select a refinery site he encounters bribery, corruption - and the beautiful Rosa. A powerful struggle between two factions of the Mafia in a small Sicilian town, with Proby in the middle, sets the scene for this colourful comedy starring Virna Lisi as a highly imaginative beauty.
