Betrayal

on BBC Radio 4 FM

Eric Abraham is a South African-born, Oscar-winning film producer. When he was 22, working as a journalist in Cape Town, he was served with a five-year house arrest by the apartheid government. Locked into his apartment, he was bombarded by telephone death threats. He managed to escape only to find out later that he had been deceived, both by the man who got him out of the country and by his own father. Here he returns to Cape Town to try to put together the pieces of his story and to confront those who betrayed him. Producer John Murphy
