An evening tour in search of diversion
What do you do with yourself during that first rather dreary evening when you have just arrived in a strange town? Perhaps you buy a guide book and go to look at the Parish Church-perhaps you wander aimlessly about the streets wondering hopelessly if anything ever happens-or perhaps you give up the uneven struggle and go to the pictures.
In tonight's programme a visitor to Bristol is faced with this difficult first evening. Thanks, however, to the ubiquitous microphone, he and listeners are able to travel outwards from Bristol Bridge.
