Highlights from Edinburgh Castle. The theme for the Tattoo this year is Royal Scotland, celebrated in a display of pageantry, action and music on the castle's floodlit esplanade. The combined Massed Pipes and Drums and Military Bands of the Scottish Division make their final appearance in their present form. The Royal Norwegian Guard are paying their fifth visit to Edinburgh with a display of music and drill. And the all-girl Lochiel Marching Team from New Zealand return for the third time, accompanied by the Wanganui City Brass. The Mounted Band of the Blues and Royals - performing at the Tattoo for the first time in 40 years - and the arrival of the Scottish State Coach lead into the finale with its evocative sound of the lone piper.
