Celebrated Welsh tenor Stuart Burrows has enjoyed an international career that has taken him to all the leading opera houses, including 22 consecutive seasons at the Royal Opera, Covent Garden. Today, he talks to Joan Bakewell about his childhood in the Welsh valleys, his days as a teacher, and how he very nearly became a professional rugby player. With music by Handel, Mozart and Tchaikovsky.
