Anne Wood , who made her radio debut in Savoy Hill days and gave her first London recital at the Grotrian Hall about five years ago, was for three years with the BBC Singers before leaving them in October, 1939, to devote herself to solo work. ,
Mary Ross McDougall studied with 'Johnston Douglas at the Webber-Douglas School of Singing and later with Agnes Nichols. She made her radio debut with a lieder recital in 1936.
