This programme will include songs written at various stages of the successful career of "Ivor Novello , actor, playwright, and composer, to illustrate the wide range of his versatile muse. Mary Ellis , the brilliant American star who joined forces with Novello in 1935 to draw all London to Drury Lane, will be heard singing songs from Glamorous Night and The Dancing Years ; and the programme will end with that immortal best-seller of the last war, ' Keep the home-fires burning '.
