School caretakers are not always the most popular people in a school. Often it is a thankless job, unappreciated by either boys or staff. Harry Sugden, caretaker of Tom's school, really deserves his unpopularity. When Sarah applies for a temporary job as a music teacher, she finds that he practically runs the school, bullying and overriding all opposition.
