Jane Lapotaire stars as Sally, a middle-aged woman looking back at her childhood, in Caroline Harrington's play set in Singapore in the fifties. Political upheaval signals that the end of British rule is in sight and while Sally's soldier father is secure, her mother is becoming ever more eccentric.
