The Rock Gospel Show

on BBC One London

A series of eight programmes with Sheila Walsh , Kajagoogoo, Jesse Dixon and his Band and the C.O.G.I.C. Gospel Choir
In America gospel music is big business and as much a part of mainstream music as rock 'n' roll. Here in Britain it is still in its infancy, but rapidly gaining a large following. One of the singers responsible for the upsurge is SHEILA WALSH , a former missionary who now offers her message in song! Tonight, as well as singing, she talks to top pop group KAJAGOOGOO about the effect Christianity has had on them and JESSE DIXON , one of the greatest gospel stars, who sings some of his own chart-topping numbers.
