British Film Comedy: Nearly a Nasty Accident

on BBC One London

A season of Britain's great laughter-makers
Starring Jimmy Edwards, Kenneth Connor, Shirley Eaton

Aircraftman Wood is fast becoming a diabolical nuisance to the Royal Air Force. He is a mild and diffident character, but he has one overpowering obsession - he believes that he is a mechanical genius. This delusion makes him the unwitting cause of several disastrous incidents which send the Air Estimates soaring, and give the Minister for Air sleepless nights. Wood's Station Commander, Group Captain Kingsley, is distraught at this threat to his promotion, but getting rid of him presents certain problems, and full-scale mobilisation proves necessary before the unwitting cause of disaster can be removed.
