It is ten years since art schools were given a new deal by the Coldstream Committee; and exactly five years this May since the Hornsey student revolt. Overtaken and partially absorbed by the new Poly-technics, art schools are at this moment undergoing a new crisis. Peter Lloyd Jones is Head of Environmental Design at Wimbledon School of Art.
