Omnibus: David Hockney in Paris

on BBC One London

talking to Melvyn Bragg
1 Nice to be an artist in Paris - bit perverse now. So it appealed to me! ' David Hockney , the ' Boy Wonder' of British painting, describes his decision to live and work in Paris, where in the last six months he's had two major exhibitions.
Hockney, the boy from Bradford who made it good since he hit the art and social scene of London in the 'swinging 60s,' has never lacked publicity: media interviews, and now on the cinema-A Bigger Splash. But so far he's never talked on TV at length or in depth about his work.
