A Life of Our Own

on BBC One London

First of ten programmes for people with learning difficulties.
Presented by Gary Bourlet and Peter Burgis
When Gary attended an adult-training centre there were few opportunities for trainees to make their own lives. But things are changing. The staff at Castlefield support
Bernadette Thomas in her work experience, Louise Daw and Mark Thomas now have activities in the community five days a week, and Mark Smith has progressed to a computer course at college. And Gary has moved on to present this programme and interview Sir Brian Rix , (pictured).
