'COAL AND OIL

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

A discussion between Lord Cadman and Sir Robert Burrows
Few more able speakers could have been chosen for this evening's discussion on coal and oil than Lord Cadman and Sir Robert Burrows. Lord Cadman, chairman of the Anglo-Iranian Oil Company, is one of the greatest living authorities on oil, and Sir Robert Burrows is chairman of the Lancashire Associated
Collieries, vice-chairman of Manchester Collieries, and an outstanding figure in the coal world.
The speakers will examine the history of these two substances which have so much in common. Of coal it may be said that the prosperity of Britain was founded upon it, while oil, in its manifold uses, seems to have an almost unlimited future.
