A profile of hip-hop gurus Run-DMC, the hardcore rapping trio from Queens, New York, made up of Run (Joseph Simmons ), DMC (Darryl McDaniels ) and Jam Master Jay (Jason Mizell ), who in 2002 was shot and killed, aged 37. They cracked the UK mainstream in 1986 with their radical reworking of Aerosmith's Walk This Way and scored a monster number one single here in 1998 with a new, irresistible version of their own
