Richard Fulton decided to accept the offer to go on a lecture tour of America. Sally planned to go with him, and to take Fickling and Miss Kendrick. Jenny went to a theatrical garden party, where she met Sir Franklin Reid, a distinguished actor-manager who had encouraged her stage career in the past.
