Saturday Film: To the Devil a Daughter

Richard Widmark , Christopher Lee Excommunicated from the church, Fr Michael leaves for Bavaria and founds a convent dedicated to the worship of the devil figure, Astaroth. One of his ' children ' has a special destiny-on her 18th birthday she is to become the devil's daughter and reign as his earthly representative.
In this characteristically diabolical Hammer movie, American star Richard Widmark plays a writer fighting off the devil personified by the inimitable Christopher Lee.
