A week of programmes celebrating the 65th birthday of Russian pianist and conductor Vladimir Ashkenazy. Humphrey Burton plays some archive material from the 1960s of Ashkenazy performing and talking about the piano music of Scriabin, and talks to him about his more recent performing relationship with the soprano Barbara Bonney.
