Floral Pharmacy. As
David Bellamy points out, if a friend is ill you take them a bunch of flowers. In search of the medicinal herbs which flourish in our gardens, he goes shopping at a garden centre, explores the flower beds of Hatfield House and visits the Chelsea Physic Garden, established in 1673, where doctors were once trained in herbal pharmacy. He is introduced to flower remedies, submits to the soothing hands of an aromatherapist and has his eyes examined by an iridologist - all modem manifestations of the ancient art of herbal medicine.
