Redcaps: Blood, Beer and Tears

on BBC One London

A documentary series about policing the army.
It's summer, it's pay day and the living seems easy for those young British soldiers who have plenty of energy and money to burn. But in a Naafi pub in a barracks in north Germany an argument leads to an outbreak of violence. Two soldiers and a civilian receive horrific injuries from a gang of young men.
The Redcaps catch the gang, but that's when the problems really begin.
Who did what -and to whom? Captain Wooldridge, a detective in the Royal Military Police's special investigation branch, finds that bringing the criminals to justice is not straightforward.
