In celebration of the quincentenary of Copernicus' birth, the Polish Academy of Sciences have produced a magnificent facsimile edition of De revolutionibus orbium coelestium, as one volume of a set of the complete works, with commentaries. Dr Czartoryski, the General Editor of this enterprise, talks to Dr Ravetz. science historian from Leeds University, about the new light thrown on Copernicus by this work.
