Ever since he began work on his string quartet. MICHAEL BERKELEY'S companions have been a piano, a writing desk and a microphone.
Microphones were also present when the AMPHION STRING QUARTET met for the rehearsal of the work and to record MICHAEL PINK 'S reactions to the quartet as he prepared to turn it into a ballet.
