English text by the composer after the novel "Christ Recrucified" by NIKOS KAZANTZAKIS , in a new version by BRIAN LARGE Czech composer collaborates with a Greek novelist in this opera about a village community putting on a passion play. The first UK performance, in the Welsh National Opera production, direct from the New Theatre, Cardiff Cast in order of singing:
