SIR J. J. THOMSON has been Master of Trinity since 1918, previous to which he was Cavendish Professor of Experimental Physics at Cambridge. He has had an extremely brilliant career, being awarded Nobel Prize for Physics in 1906: he is also a Member of the Institute of France. His books include ' The Structure of Light,' ' Conduction of Electricity Through Gases,' etc.
