A series of conversations about nine famous pictures to be seen in public galleries in this country The purpose of these programmes is to use some famous names as a starting-point for discussing questions of technique, art history, and aesthetics.

Those taking part:
Sir Philip Hendy, Director of the National Gallery (Chairman); Michael Ayrton putting the point of view of the practising painter; Stella Mary Pearce, a costume expert; and Dr. L.D. Ettlinger, an art historian
