Cosmos: A Personal Voyage: Harmony of the Worlds

on BBC One London

Have you ever believed that your fate has something to do with the conjunction or opposition of the stars? You are not alone. Since time immemorial, astrology has been a preoccupation of the human race.
This week Carl Sagan 's journey takes us to ancient sites which bear vivid witness to early man's obsession with the stars - and the dawn of scientific observation.
From there we go to the turbulent 16th-century world of Hand Kepler, a tortured genius whose integrity and perseverance made him the last scientific astrologer and the first astrophysicist.
A joint production of KCET and Carl Sagan Productions Inc in association with BBCtv.
