My Heart Stood Still

on BBC Radio 4 FM

Fifty years ago C. B. Cochran 's revue One Damn Thing After Another opened at the London Pavilion. Francis Watson went to it as a young undergraduate and was overcome by the glamour of it all.
He still remembers Edythe Baker , Jessie Matthews , Sonnie Hale and other stars of the 20s. In this programme he indulges in a little nostalgia and calls back' voices and tunes from the past.
