In each of their seven previous appearances in the World Cup finals, Scotland have failed to get beyond the first round, and their chances of greater success this time round were dented by a narrow opening-day defeat at the hands of reigning world champions Brazil. But confidence among coach Craig Brown's Scottish squad was still high for the remaining two group matches.

Morocco have graced the finals on three previous occasions, reaching the second round in 1986. The campaign ended with three first round defeats, but this time the
Africans began with an entertaining 2-2 draw versus Norway that helped erase memories of a lacklustre performance in the recent African Nations Cup.

Tonight's other deciding match in Group A sees Brazil facing Norway in Marseille. Plus the best of the action from this afternoon's concluding clashes in Group B, in which Italy played Austria and Chile faced Cameroon.
