Elka Schrijver , a Dutch journalist who is a frequent visitor to this country, says that Holland came out of the last war even poorer than Great Britain. She compares the standard of living between the two countries, and shows how the Dutch are adapting themselves to circumstances. She feels that present-day conditions call for entirely new ideas on living, and a willingness to part with traditions that may be outdated.
