Adapted for broadcasting in three episodes by Alice de Grey
1—' The Castle '
Produced by Eve Burgess
' Long long ago, in a far away land, there was once an old grey castle. It stood upon a high rocky cliff, at the edge of the sea, gazing, out from its turret windows to the far western horizon. The wi]d seas of winter shouted to the castle, as they threw themselves against the rocks at its feet, and the calm blue seas of summer called to it, as the tides crept close, and then stole back again across the smooth wide sands; but the castle remained quite unperturbed, as year after year went by. It wasn't listening to the sea, it was listening to the people who lived within its great protecting walls, and the people it liked listening to best of all were the children-the children of the castle!
