8.45 Twenty Minutes: Thomas Hardy Early in the last century Thomas Hardy wrote a poem about the house which he'd built for himself and Emma Lavinia Gifford , The Strange House (Max Gate AD 2000). In this poem he imagines their home and its inhabitants in the year 2000. This feature explores the house, its ghosts and the poem in the company of the present owner, Andrew Leah , the Dorset poet Sean Street and the words of Thomas Hardy.
