Journey to the Centre of the Earth

on BBC One London

Tonight's spectacular adventure film.
Starring James Mason, Pat Boone, Arlene Dahl, Diane Baker

A group of explorers follow the route taken generations before by an ancient Icelandic explorer on a hazardous 4,000-mile journey to the centre of the earth. The travellers encounter giant mushrooms and prehistoric monsters, discover the lost city of Atlantis, narrowly escape death on a number of occasions - and still find time to stop for tea in this engaging film version of Jules Verne's classic fantasy.
