Softly, Softly: Persistence

on BBC One London

by Elwyn Jones
[Starring] Stratford Johns as Det. Chief Supt. Barlow, Frank Windsor as Det. Chief Insp. Watt, Peggy Sinclair as P/W Det.-Sgt. Allin
with John Barron as Assist. Chief Con. Gilbert

Petty thefts do not usually concern the Regional Crime Squad, but a number of similar thefts form a pattern which Sergeant Allin finds intriguing. A seventeenth theft takes place from the bedroom of Dr. Jean Morrow who is a personal friend of John Watt. And Watt's attention is sharply drawn to the suggestion that this could be a series of organised crimes.
