In parts of South Wales, Sheepdog Trials are as popular as rugby matches. To their oddly assorted masters, working collies are the only dogs worth owning. Roy Saunders, a schoolmaster turned sheepdog handler, reflects on the men and animals 'whose looks don't matter - it's what's in their heads that counts.'
