' Three Common Graces '

on National Programme Daventry

View in Radio Times

The Rev. Father VINCENT McNABB ,
O.P.
2-' Kindness '
This is the second of three talks by Father McNabb. On July 19 he spoke on truthfulness; this afternoon he is to speak on kindness ; and on August 16 he is to speak on courtesy.
Father Vincent McNabb is one of the best-known preachers of the day. He frequently appears on the Roman Catholic platform in Hyde Park, and he has a wide and sympathetic following both within and beyond his own communion. The late G. K. Chesterton , who was an ardent admirer of Father McNabb, wrote of him: 'I will say briefly and firmly that he is one of the few great men I have met in my life ; that he is great in many ways, mentally and morally and mystically and practically..... Nobody who ever met or saw or heard Father McNabb has ever forgotten him..... He is really a popular speaker, in the rare sense of having real popular sympathies; and no man in modern politics has so firmly and even fiercely loved the people.'
